San Fran Day 6 - Obama, Boat Cruise, and Ghirardelli Square

For our last full day in San Francisco, we decided to go on a boat cruise. We had a 2 hour "Bridge 2 Bridge" boat cruise with the Red & White Fleet where we sailed from Pier 43 1/2, under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz, past Treasure Island, under the Bay Bridge, and then back to the pier. While in line for the cruise, we saw Obama flying over the bay in Marine One

The cruise was absolutely breathtaking. We got to see the bay go from sunshine & blue skies, to a purple sunset, to a beautiful twilight...all from on the water! Ricki and I re-enacted titanic and had some fun trying to avoid some Japanese tourists accidentally photobombing us! The cruise was a perfect end to our trip, and it truly was worth going on!

After the cruise went out to dinner, and then to Ghirardelli Square to see some chocolate being made! ....unfortunately they weren't doing tours of the chocolate making-process because it was under construction :( So we wandered around until we found an adorable cupcake shop! We went into Kara's Cupcakes and had some cupcakes and lemonade. I had the Valentine's Day Meyer Lemony Lemon cupcake, and it was perfect!

It was a great end to our trip, and was a day full of truly yummy experiences!
