The Palace of Fine Arts!
This day was one of my favourite days of the entire trip. We started the day off by heading to the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco. It was absolutely breathtaking. The buildings look like they were transported from Greece or Rome. The attention to detail is amazing and the enormous size of the structures makes it that much more overwhelming. We walked around and took some incredible photographs, before sitting by the pond and watching the herons catch fish!

Grumpy Cat, Ricki's New Car, Burgers, and Friend Love!
After walking around the Palace of Fine Arts, we started to feel a bit peckish so we went to seek out some food! We found an awesome little joint called Super Duper Burgers. We filled up on burgers and fries and then decided to walk around the streets for a bit and look into the different shops. We ended up buying out Brandy Melville, and included in our purchases was a wooden wall hanging that had San Francisco written on it. We thought it would be the perfect addition to our apartment :) We also stopped in a Paper Source and found the most adorable little book. It's called I Think I Am In Friend-Love With You and it perfectly explains Ricki and my friendship!

After lots of shopping we were walking along the streets when we came a long a really nice old Ford convertible. Ricki starting getting excited because her father loves old cars and actually has a Ford that he rebuilt himself! Standing by the car was a group of elderly gentlemen and when we went up to ask them if we could take a picture with their car, they were ecstatic! Ricki was totally prepared to stand next to the car for the photo, but the owner insisted that she sit in the front seat! Ricki begrudgingly obliged ;) Just kidding. She was stoked! After chatting with men about cars, we continued on our way, Ricki's day totally made!

Crissy Field!
Our next stop was Crissy Field which is said to have the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge in all of San Francisco (excluding being on the water, of course!). Whoever discovered that information was absolutely right!! We took off our shoes, rolled up our pants, and ran around the beach! We splashed in the water, drew in the sand, and took some obligatory tourist photos with our new piece of home decor! We also Skyped Ricki's Mémère (french-canadian for grandma) for her birthday!

This day was truly one of the most 'vacation-esque' days that we had. It was so much fun to run along the beach and enjoy the summery weather (even though it's February!).

Tomorrow is our trip to Alcatraz, so we'll see what the rest of our trip has in store!
